Two new stories are available. Between 20 and 22 April was held in Cochabamba, Bolivia, the Peoples’ World Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth. For three days, indigenous communities, social movements, scientists, lawyers, parliamentarians, NGOs and some governments discussed the situation of Mother Earth. Coca, the sacred leaf, has lived with the Andean people for more than seven centuries. Coca, the damn leaf, has lived with the Andean people since 1859. The situation of this leaf is handled from different perspectives in a country, Bolivia, where is contemplated by the constitution as part of their cultural heritage.
